The California Wine Company Limited (CA Wine) was established on 1 August 1996 with registered capital of 1,000,000 Baht, by a group of California wine enthusiasts in Thailand and California, at 1624 Krung Kasem Road, Bangkok 10100, Thailand.  CA Wine imported quality wines from California and sold to wine shops, hotels, and restaurants.

On 14 November 1996, CA Wine set up its sister company, Wine, Etc. Company Limited at 498-504 Sukhumvit 22 Road, Bangkok 10110, Thailand, with registered capital of 1,000,000 Baht, to handle retail business in Sukhumvit area.

On 8 June 1997, CA Wine increased its registered capital to 5,000,000 Baht and started importing value wines.  Thanks to the value wines, CA Wine was not affected by 1997 Thailand Economic Crisis.

On 22 September 1998, CA Wine moved to Wine, Etc. office to have a better service to its clients.  CA Wine was appointed sole distributorship in Thailand by Alexander Valley Vineyards, Bronco Wine Company, Cain Vineyard, Joseph Phelps Vineyards, Pine Ridge Winery, and Storybook Mountain Vineyards.

On 1 May 2002, CA Wine appointed California Pacific Wine, LLC as its sole buying agent in USA.

On 1 June 2002, CA Wine was appointed sole distributorship in Thailand by Kendall-Jackson Wine Estates.

On 1 September 2002, CA Wine was appointed sole distributorship in Thailand by Archery Summit Winery, Duckhorn Vineyards, and Far Niente Wineries.

On 4 December 2002, CA Wine increased its registered capital to 10,000,000 Baht and was in partnership with California Pacific Wine, LLC.

On 1 March 2003, CA Wine was appointed sole distributorship in Thailand by Grgich Hills Cellar.

On 19 July 2003, CA Wine increased its registered capital to 12,000,000 Baht.

On 1 September 2003, CA Wine was appointed sole distributorship in Thailand by Pahlmeyer and Shafer Vineyards.

On 28 January 2004, CA Wine increased its registered capital to 15,000,000 Baht.

On 21 September 2004, CA Wine was appointed sole distributorship in Thailand by Vineyard 7 & 8.

On 28 September 2004, CA Wine and a group of Singaporean investors set up The California Wine (Singapore) Pte Ltd in Singapore with registered capital of S$500,000.

On 28 March 2005, CA Wine moved to its new office on Rama III Road. It is closed to the Chaophraya River with a better scenic view.  It also has 2 computer controlled cold storage rooms to preserve the quality of the wines.

In September 2005, CA Wine in co-operation with Kendall-Jackson sponsored Chef Roy Yamaguchi in World Gourmet Festival at The Four Seasons Hotel in Bangkok.

In October 2005, Margaret Duckhorn, co-founder and Executive Vice President of Duckhorn Wine Company, came to visit us in Thailand.  CA Wine organized Duckhorn Wine Dinners at The Four Seasons Hotel in Bangkok, Pacific City Club in Bangkok, and Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi Hotel in Chiengmai.  All events were well received with full bookings.

In January 2006, CA Wine added Hartford Vineyards, one of Kendall-Jackson Wine Estates, to its portfolio.

In March 2006, CA Wine was appointed sole distributorsfip in Thailand by Francis Ford Coppola Presents Winery and Rubicon Estate Winery.

In June 2006, CA Wine added The Colgin Winery, and Pepi Vineyards, one of Kendall-Jackson Wine Estates, to its portfolio.

In July 2006, CA Wine closed its retail business in Singapore due to different culture in doing business with the Singaporean investors.  CA Wine set up representative office in Singapore focusing on export market.

In September 2006, CA Wine added David Abreu Vineyards, Spottswoode Estate Vineyard and Winery, and Schramsberg Sparkling Wine to its portfolio.

In September 2006, CA Wine in co-operation with Kendall-Jackson sponsored Chef Michael Mena in World Gourmet Festival at The Four Seasons Hotel in Bangkok.

In October 2006, John Shafer and his wife, founders of Shafer Vineyards, were planning to visit Thailand to host several wine dinners.  Due to unexpected health problem, they had to cancel the trip.  CA Wine organized Shafer Wine Dinners at The Four Seasons Hotel in Bangkok, Chedi Hotel in Chiengmai, and Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi Hotel in Chiengmai.  All events were well received with full bookings.

In November 2006, CA Wine was appointed sole distributorship in Thailand by Delicato Family Vineyards.

In November 2006, Linda Wetzel, co-founder of Alexander Valley Vineyards, and Margaret Wetzel, daughter, came to visit us.  CA Wine organized AVV Wine Dinner at The American Club in Singapore, AVV Wine Tasting at Dusit Laguna Hotel in Phuket, AVV Wine Dinner at Cascade Club in Bangkok, and AVV Wine Dinner at The Metropolitan Hotel in Bangkok.  All events were well received with full bookings.

In December 2006, CA Wine increased its registered capital to 20,000,000 Baht.

In January 2007, David DeBoer, Vice President of International Sales of Delicato Family Vineyards, came to visit us in Thailand.  CA Wine organized Delicato Family Wine Tasting at Laguna Holiday Club, Banyan Tree Hotel in Phuket on January 6th.

In February 2007, CA Wine was appointed sole distributorship in Thailand by Burford and Brown Wines.

In April 2007, CA Wine added Cardinale, one of Kendall-Jackson's premium winery, to its portfolio.

In June 2007, CA Wine added Blankiet Estate, Quilceda Creek Vintners, Ramey Wine Cellars, Martin Ray Winery, and Chateau Montelena Winery to its portfolio.

In July 2007, CA Wine added Verite, one of Kendall-Jackson's premium winery, to its portfolio.

On 14 September 2007, CA Wine in co-operation with Kendall-Jackson sponsored Chef Susur Lee in World Gourmet Festival at The Four Seasons Hotel in Bangkok.

On 25-28 September 2007, Heather De Savoye, International Sales Manager of Rubicon Estate and Francis Coppola Presents Winery, came to Thailand.  CA Wine organized wine dinners at Harvey Restaurant, Rossini's at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit in Bangkok, and Manhattan Steakhouse in Pattaya.

In October 2007, CA Wine added Arietta to its portfolio.

In November 2007, CA Wine added Pezzi King Vineyards, and Quady Winery which produce California sweet wines to its portfolio.

In February 2008, CA Wine added Martinelli Winery, Morlet Family Vineyards, and Soter Vineyards to its portfolio.

In April 2008, CA Wine added Caymus Vineyards, Esser Vineyards, Laurel Glen Vineyards, McManis Family Vineyards, Sebastiani Vineyards, The Ojai Vineyard, and Viader to its portfolio.

On 29 April 2008, CA Wine in co-operation with USDA, USMEF, DFV Wines, Francis Coppola Presents Winery organized US Meat & Wines seminar at Holiday Inn Hotel in Phuket.

On 30 April 2008, CA Wine in co-operation with USDA, USMEF, DFV Wines, Francis Coppola Presents Winery organized US Meat & Wines seminar at Anantara Hotel in Samui.

On 2 May 2008, CA Wine in co-operation with USDA, USMEF, DFV Wines, Francis Coppola Presents Winery organized US Meat & Wines seminar at Sheraton Hotel in Hua-Hin.

On 16 May 2008, Larry Stone, General Manager of Rubicon Estate, came to Thailand.  CA Wine organized a Rubicon Wine Dinner at Fireplace Grill, InterContinental Hotel Bangkok.

On 24 May 2008, Chris Indelicato, CEO – President of DFV Wines came to Bangkok with Jay Indelicato, Senior Vice President, and Dave DeBoer, VP of International Sales.  CA Wine introduced them to the press and local hotel and restaurant F&B directors.

In June 2008, CA Wine increased its registered capital to 25,000,000 Baht.

In July 2008, CA Wine added Bacio Divino Cellars to its portfolio.

On 14-19 July 2008, Ray Kaufman, wine maker and wine consultant of many distinguished CA wineries, came to Thailand. CA Wine organized Best of California Wine Dinner at Harvey Restaurant in Bangkok, Pahlmeyer Wine Dinner at Four Seasons Hotel in Bangkok, McManis Wine Dinner at Banyan Tree Hotel in Phuket, and McManis Wine Dinner at Melati Resort in Koh Samui.

On 27-28 September 2008, CA Wine in co-operation with Kendall-Jackson sponsored Chef Jeffrey Jake in World Gourmet Festival at The Four Seasons Hotel in Bangkok.

In September 2008, CA Wine added Staglin Family Vineyard, Revana Family Vineyard, Hall Winery, Cakebread Cellars, Calera Wine, and Inglenook Vineyards to its portfolio

On 8-10 October 2008, Margaret Duckhorn, co-founder and Executive Vice President of Duckhorn Wine Company, came to Thailand the second time.  CA Wine organized Duckhorn Wine Dinners at JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa in Phuket, and at Lord Jim’s, The Oriental Hotel in Bangkok.  All events were well received with full bookings.

In February 2009, CA Wine added Twomey Cellars to its portfolio.

On 19 February 2009, Jeff Cook, General Manager of Kendall-Jackson Asia/Japan, conducted a Kendall-Jackson Wine Dinner at Dusit Thani Hotel in Bangkok.

On 27-28 February 2009, Steve Lawrence, Director of Sales and Marketing of Pahlmeyer, came to Thailand.  CA Wine organized wine dinners at Le Beaulieu and Water Library, the 2 leading premier restaurants in Bangkok, respectively.

On 19 March 2009, Dave DeBoer, VP International Sales of DFV Wines, conducted Gnarly Head Wine Dinner at Water Library Restaurant in Bangkok.

In April 2009, Violet Grgich, Co-proprietor of Grgich Hills Estate, came to Asia the first time.  CA Wine organized wine dinners at The American Club in Singapore, at Evason Phuket & Six Senses Spa in Phuket, and at Reflexions, Plaza Athenee Hotel in Bangkok.  All events were well received with full bookings.

In June 2009, CA Wine increased its registered capital to 30,000,000 Baht.

On 1 September 2009, CA Wine in co-operation with USDA organized US Wines seminar at Centara Central World Hotel in Bangkok, presentation by Lim Hwee Peng, CSW.

On 23 September 2009, CA Wine organized US Wines seminar at Dusit Thani Laguna Hotel in Phuket, presentation by Lim Hwee Peng, CSW.

On 5-6 October 2009, CA Wine in co-operation with Kendall-Jackson sponsored Chef Graham Elliot Bowles in World Gourmet Festival at The Four Seasons Hotel in Bangkok.

On 5-6 October 2009, Rania Burns, Associate Export Manager of Francis Ford Coppola Presents, came to Thailand. CA Wine organized Francis Ford Coppola Wine Dinners at Siam Supper Club Phuket and Evason Phuket & Six Senses Spa in Phuket. All events were well received with full bookings.

On 10-11 October 2009, CA Wine in co-operation with Francis Ford Coppola Presents sponsored Chef David Kinch in World Gourmet Festival at The Four Seasons Hotel in Bangkok.

In October 2009, CA Wine added Bond, Buccella, Kistler Vineyards, Kongsgaard Wine, Levy & McClellan, and Lewis Cellars to its portfolio.

On 14-17 November 2009, Ambassador Kathryn Hall and Craig Hall, owners of Hall Winery, came to Southeast Asia the first time. CA Wine organized Hall Wine Dinner at The American Club in Singapore on the 14th and at Ma Du Zi Hotel in Bangkok on the 17th. All events were well received with full bookings.

In December 2009, Robert Levy and Martha McClellan and family, owners of Levy & McClellan, came to Thailand for their vacation. CA Wine organized a VIP wine dinner to taste their wines in vertical vintages on the 22nd at Water Library Restaurant in Bangkok. Everyone was amazed by the quality of their wines. Current inventory were sold out and they also reserved all future vintages. The evening was a successful event with perfect food and wine matching.
